Can Resolved Books take over my bookkeeping mid-year?

Yes! Many businesses switch to us mid-financial year. We seamlessly import your current year-to-date trial balance, reconcile past months, and transition your workflows to cloud bookkeeping without disrupting your daily operations.

Taxation & Compliance

What is the difference between Turnover Tax (TOT) and Value Added Tax (VAT) in Zambia?

Turnover Tax (TOT) is a simplified tax charged at 4% on gross income for small businesses with an annual turnover below ZMW 800,000. VAT (16%) generally applies to businesses registered above ZMW 800,000 turnover, requiring input/output tax reconciliations and ZRA Smart Invoice compliance. We handle filing for both regimes.

Taxation & Compliance

Are your bookkeeping packages compliant with ZRA Smart Invoice requirements?

Absolutely. All our bookkeeping setups ensure your sales and purchase records align with Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) Smart Invoice standards to prevent tax penalties and claim valid input VAT credits.

Pricing & Billing

How are your monthly package fees calculated?

Fees are transparently estimated based on your business sector (Services, Retail, or Manufacturing) and monthly transaction volume. Additional modules like payroll management (PAYE & NAPSA) or statutory tax returns can be added. Use our interactive Pricing Calculator on the homepage to get an instant quote.

Pricing & Billing

Are there any hidden setup or cancellation fees?

No. All onboarding audits and setup steps are included transparently. We work on straightforward monthly subscription plans without locked long-term contracts.

Sector Solutions

What is Absorption Costing and why is it important for Zambian manufacturers?

Absorption costing ensures that all manufacturing overheads—direct materials, labor, factory electricity, and equipment depreciation—are accurately allocated to each finished product. This reveals your true cost price and prevents underpricing that eats into your profits.

Sector Solutions

How do you help retail and wholesale businesses control stock and till cash?

We reconcile daily Point-of-Sale (POS) till register logs against bank deposits and mobile money accounts, tracking stock variance cards and supplier aging ledgers to cut unexplained shrinkage.
